Update Update (Feb 07th 2012): HI! I still check this blog every once in awhile. It's fun to have an archive of my first Project 365 still hanging out on blogspot. Cool.

Anyway, in case anyone is wondering, my web home base is now stevemoraco.com - Simple enough right?

Day 138: Leading Lines

Turns out this is where my dad used to work after he got out of the armed forces. It's a 1st National Bank of Omaha building. I like the lines and the way they lead to one point. I remember learning that rule for drawing 3D shapes in art class.

I like road trips because it gives you time to think, and trust me, I have had a lot of that. I spent all day after our little exploration of Omaha just enjoying the open road. There was a beautiful sunset too. This is why I love being on the road. Nearly unlimited time to do what I love (that's photography, in case your a little slow), and time to think and contemplate too.

I feel like I'm laying on the ground looking up with this one. haha. It's really cool though! :D That is one thing about road trips, PLENTY of thinking time, which can be good or bad. It's kinda nice sometimes to just chill out and stop and think, but I usually just end up getting depressed and crying. Just ask Carol....that was fun. Anywho....back to the picture...it rocks. Have fun taking a million more! :D

Wow Steve, i love that picture. sorry i haven't commented in a while.... very busy. Anyway, the flags are my favorite part. And yes i love the vanishing point. I'm surprised that there was little to no lens distortion. Very good job!

And i couldn't agree with you more about the thinking and photographing. Seriously, those are my 2 most favorite things to do in the whole world. That's why i love summer. I've taken countless walks around everywhere taking pictures and thinking. They're pretty much the best!

Anyway, love the picture and i'm majorly jealous about your trip. ha ha :)

How tall are those skyscrapers in Omaha? Now I know they aren't Manhattan size, but that perspective certainly could cause one to think gigantic! Sounds like you're having a fantastic road trip. I love the lines and the framing with the flags on either side. Your photos are amazing!
