Haha, wow that was a cool title don't you think? It's a Dodge, and the whole idea of burning rubber... well anyway, I mentioned in yesterdays post that I was trying to get a decent picture of my car, and tonight I think that all worked out! I was inspired by this post on Strobist.com, my favorite off-camera lighting blog. The bigger sized picture is here, and you can read how he did it there, but I only had 1 strobe instead of his 3.
Before you go and read those though, it's:
Directions: in the comments tell me how you think I did this, even though I think its pretty obvious. Oh, and there was no photoshopping other than levels adjustment.
Moving On...
Update: I got a Pro Flickr account with the money I made from Prom Portraits, and so I'm planning to post a lot to there for now as I figure out the details for my official photography site.
Portfolio's up! But I use flickr mostly now...
So without further delay, here are my two shiney new URL's:

Update Update (Feb 07th 2012): HI! I still check this blog every once in awhile. It's fun to have an archive of my first Project 365 still hanging out on blogspot. Cool.
Anyway, in case anyone is wondering, my web home base is now stevemoraco.com - Simple enough right?

i have absolutely no clue how you did this. but if the goal was to make your car seem as cool as a '93 Intrepid could be, you definitely succeeded.
Well you're pretty tricky there Steeeeve (kinda like in checkers...hmmph:) anyways- that car looks "tight" as all the guys seem to say nowadays. and about that whole tripped out sliding message thingy- well...well...it's cool. I'm jealous- I can't even figure out how to put my own pics in my slideshow on the stinkin blog:(
For a car that's almost as old as you -- that's pretty amazing. Looks like you polished it, buffed it, made it shine beyond imaginings. Or was that all attributed to your new flash!? Looks like eleven strobe lights strategically placed along the car"s peripheral lines -- Now I know that wasn't possible. Nice effect!
haha. i saw this and i laughed.
WOW steve! you ALMOST succeeded in making your car look as sexy as mine! (of course we both know that even no amount of photoshop could make that happen) pssshaww ahaha.
anyway i have no clue how you did this.
long exposure with mucho repeated flash
park the car by a reflective surface, take multiple exposures w/ the strobe in different positions. merge the pics. thats my admittedly un-informed theory.
Tom, i said there was no photoshopping.
long exposure and a flashlight? That's my best guess.
